ASCEPT-APSA Pre conference workshop: Immunity in cardiovascular disease: current perspectives
Emerging evidence suggests that immunity and inflammation are key regulators of a wide range of cardiovascular diseases, resulting in a dramatic shift in how the pathology of most types of cardiovascular disease is viewed. Due to the nature of immunity, in order for immune mediators to be used to monitor disease or present as potential pharmacological targets an in depth understanding of the underlying contributing processes is essential. We have an exciting list of speakers covering the role of inflammation, and in particular innate and adaptive immunity in cardiovascular disease.
